LipoVitamine 1000 Vegan provides a high-dose level of vitamin D3 (1000 IU) to support a healthy immune system. The carefully selected blend includes fat-soluble vitamins – K2 (MK-7, all-trans) and A – in combination with pure plant-based MCT coconut oil and cold-pressed olive oil to promote effective absorption.

Why is vegan vitamin D3 particularly important?

Vitamin D3 is typically derived from animal sources, such as fish or lanolin from sheep’s wool. Most plant-based sources, on the other hand, provide vitamin D2, which is less efficiently utilised by the human body. The vitamin D3 in this product is obtained from lichen, therefore making it a fully plant-based alternative suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Lichens naturally contain high-quality vitamin D3 that is chemically identical to the animal-based form.

Why does the body need vitamin D3?

Also known as the “sunshine vitamin”, vitamin D3 plays a vital role in supporting the immune system and is essential for healthy bones, teeth and muscle function. It supports the body’s ability to absorb and use calcium and phosphorus, both crucial for bone health. Combined with vitamin K2, it further contributes to optimal calcium utilisation.
Although vitamin D3 can be synthesised by the body through sunlight exposure, this is only effective under certain conditions – without sunscreen or clothing, and with adequate UV intensity. What is the role of vitamins K and A?

Vitamin K2 helps maintain normal bones and supports proper blood clotting. When combined with vitamin D3, which aids in calcium absorption and helps maintain normal calcium levels in the blood, the result is a highly synergistic formula.
Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes, supports vision and perfectly rounds off the formulation.

How does the liposomal formulation improve absorption?

The liposomal technology in LipoVitamine 1000 Vegan is based on an exceptionally fine oil-in-water emulsion without any solid nanoparticles. The droplet size in the nanometre range means that just half the usual amount is needed to achieve the same effect. This significantly enhances the absorption of the natural active ingredients in the body. The inclusion of phospholipids from non-GMO sunflower lecithin with a high proportion of pure phosphatidylcholine enables the formation of micelles, thereby further improving the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

Why is the liquid milky in appearance?

The slightly milky colour is a visible sign of the nanoemulsion’s quality. Known as the Tyndall effect, it is caused by the dispersion of tiny oil droplets that scatter light – much like milk – and indicates a well-stabilised emulsion and premium liposomal quality.

How does LipoVitamine 1000 Vegan taste?

Thanks to its natural orange flavour, the formula has a pleasantly refreshing taste.
Due to the improved liposomal formulation, it is now recommended to take the drops directly onto the oral mucosa instead of with a fatty meal. This allows for greater flexibility in daily use.

Improved packaging for optimal product quality

The high-grade pharmaceutical brown glass bottle provides enhanced protection against light exposure. The rubber pipette cap is made from a more robust material, ensuring a tighter seal and better product preservation. The newly extended pipette allows for complete extraction of the product – down to the last drop.

Recommended intake

Place 1 drop (1,000 IU vitamin D3) under the tongue once a day. The product can be taken at any time of day, regardless of mealtimes.

Handling

The optimal storage conditions for unopened Vitamin D 1000 Vegan are in a cool, dark place (max. room temperature 17–20°C or in the fridge). Once opened, we recommend storing the product in the fridge (5–7°C) and closing the lid promptly after use to minimise exposure to oxygen. Please ensure hygienic handling when dispensing.

Notes

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and with the lid tightly closed. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. If you are taking blood thinners (anticoagulants) or have a bleeding disorder (haemophilia), please consult your healthcare professional before taking vitamin K products.

Shake the bottle gently before use to mix the oil thoroughly. The liquid appears milky because the liposomal formulation causes small fat droplets from the fat-soluble vitamins to form, which reflect the light. This is the same effect as with milk.

The German Nutrition Society (DGE) has specified an estimated value of 20 µg of vitamin D per day as an adequate intake for children one year of age and older and for adults. This corresponds to 800 International Units (IU).

According to the DGE, dietary intake from typical foods is not sufficient to meet this recommended intake. The shortfall must be made up through the body’s own synthesis or by taking a vitamin D supplement.

Certain groups are particularly at risk for vitamin D deficiency. If you spend little time outdoors, are immobile, work night shifts, wear heavy sun protection in the summer (sunscreen, long clothing), or are otherwise unable to synthesize vitamin D naturally, year-round vitamin D supplementation is recommended.

The body’s own synthesis of vitamin D decreases by up to 50% with age. For this reason, it is particularly important for people aged 65 and older to maintain stable vitamin D levels.

To ensure an adequate supply of vitamin D, it is recommended to have your individual blood levels measured. You can do this through your primary care physician or, for example, with the preventis test. The required daily supplementation may be higher for some individuals than what is generally recommended by the DGE.

Opinions differ on this point. We’re happy to share that the body can produce up to 15,000–20,000 IU of vitamin D on its own during a 10–15-minute sunbathing session without UV protection.

Vitamin D3 cannot be derived from plants. In our vegan products, it therefore comes from the fungal component of lichens. In our vegetarian products, it comes from lanolin, the natural wax found in sheep’s wool.

LipoVitamine 5,000

LipoVitamine 5,000 was formulated with a clear focus on vitamin D3, for example to specifically support vitamin D intake. The additional fat-soluble vitamins K2, A and E are included in comparatively lower amounts and complement the formulation.

LipoVitamine 1,000

In LipoVitamine 1,000, vitamins A and K2 are present in higher amounts in relation to the vitamin D3 content. The product is therefore suitable not only for supporting the maintenance of normal vitamin D levels, but also offers additional nutritional benefits:

LipoVitamine 1,000 Vegan

LipoVitamine 1,000 Vegan is the vegan version of the formulation and also contains vitamin D3 in combination with other fat-soluble vitamins. Unlike the classic version, the product does not contain vitamin E. The vegan formulation is liposomal and therefore has a milky appearance.

LipoVitamine Beta

LipoVitamine Beta combines vitamin D3 with beta-carotene as a plant-based precursor of vitamin A. The product is available in two dosages:

LipoVitamine 10,000

In terms of dosage, LipoVitamine 10,000 corresponds to ten times the amount contained in LipoVitamine 1,000. The product is formulated as a capsule and therefore provides a correspondingly higher-dose supplementation of the included fat-soluble vitamins A, K2 and E.
