Pink & vegan: beetroot hummus with omega-3
Especially those who avoid animal proteins will find chickpeas a healthy and inexpensive meat substitute, as they are an extremely versatile legume. They are rich in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals, making them a great addition to a balanced diet.
Today we're showing you a delicious and healthy recipe for beetroot hummus, which is a delicious variation on classic hummus. The natural sweetness and light earthiness of the beet gives it a unique flavor. You don't need much more than chickpeas, beet, tahini, olive oil, spices and our vegan omega-3 oil.
Ingredients

2 beets (pre-cooked)

one jar of chickpeas
-
5 ml vegan omega-3 oil (see recommended consumption)

1 tbsp light tahini
-
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

¼ tsp pepper
-
1 tsp cumin
-
1 clove of garlic
-
Grains/seeds of your choice for garnishing
Preparation

Chop the pre-cooked beet.

Drain the chickpeas and place in a bowl.

Place all the ingredients in a bowl. Then puree until the desired creaminess is achieved.

Finally, refine the hummus with spices (if necessary) and enjoy with fresh bread!
