What are dietary fibres and why are they important?
Fibre is an essential part of a balanced diet and contributes to the daily nutrient intake.
According to the German Nutrition Society (DGE), a minimum daily intake of 30 g of fibre is recommended, though many people fall short of this. GaSta® Active provides valuable fibre from organic flaxseed, psyllium husk and acacia fibre. Flaxseed is not only a great source of fibre but also rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and has been valued for its properties since ancient times. Psyllium husk, traditionally sourced from India, is known for its exceptional swelling capacity, naturally supporting bowel function. The formulation is further enriched with hemp seeds – a source of both fibre and essential amino acids and proteins, adding further value to daily nutrient intake.
What makes Fibregum™ special?
Fibregum™ is a natural, fermentable fibre derived from acacia, valued for its high tolerability. Unlike other fibres, Fibregum™ is purified using physical methods only – no chemical or enzymatic treatments are applied.
How does GaSta® Active support nutrient intake?
The improved formula of GaSta® Active provides 23.5 billion colony-forming units (CFU) from 21 different microencapsulated bacterial strains. It also includes natural vitamin C from acerola cherry extract, which supports metabolism and contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, teeth, and bones. Calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes, aiding digestion. The included B vitamins, such as B2, B3 and B6, support normal energy-yielding metabolism, while magnesium contributes to the maintenance of electrolyte balance – essential for smooth digestion.
Which natural ingredients support metabolism and digestion?
GaSta® Active sets new standards in supplementation with high levels of the amino acid L-glutamine, turmeric, and a wide spectrum of organically bound minerals and trace elements such as calcium and zinc. Turmeric (Curcuma), also known as yellow root, has been valued for centuries in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its bright yellow root is popular for its versatility. Psyllium husk, originally from India, is one of the best natural fibre sources thanks to its exceptional swelling capacity. These carefully selected components support nutrient uptake and contribute to normal protein synthesis and digestive system function.

Enzymes: Small helpers with a big impact on digestion and metabolism
Our body is a marvel—but it cannot do everything on its own. It needs support for numerous processes: this is where enzymes come into play. These natural biocatalysts are involved in almost all metabolic processes—from digestion to energy production.
Read moreWhy the intestine is more than just a digestive organ
The gut is much more than “just” a digestive organ—it is central to our physical, emotional, and mental health. About 80% of our immune system is located in the gut, where neurotransmitters such as serotonin are produced, and it communicates directly with our brain via the nervous system. At the same time, the gut is extremely sensitive to stress, emotional strain, and environmental toxins. A holistic view of the gut therefore means that we do not consider it in isolation, but in connection with our lifestyle, our diet, our emotions, and our own unique history.

Gut and Digestion
MukosaRepair Powder contains, among other ingredients, L-glutamine, aloe vera, and licorice root (DGL). The formula with plant extracts is traditionally used to support mucous membranes (e.g. in the gut) and has a pleasantly sweet taste thanks to stevia – making it suitable for children as well.

Vitamin D may be beneficial for children. We offer different dosage forms (drops, tablets, and capsules) – see our vitamin D products.
Our vitamin B complex, HydroVitamins, offers flexibility with 3 small capsules, which can also be opened. For vitamin B12, we offer a liquid product with a convenient 10 µg per drop for flexible dosing.
Dosage
In general, the recommended intake stated on the packaging applies to adults. Since children’s nutrient requirements vary depending on age, body weight, diet, and individual circumstances, the use and dosage of our products should be discussed with the treating pediatrician in advance. Please note that not all ingredients and products are suitable for children. Suitability should therefore always be professionally assessed on an individual basis.
Many capsules can generally be opened and their contents mixed into food or a drink, such as (coconut) yogurt, applesauce, or mashed potatoes. However, this should not be used as a basis for independently determining the dosage for children.
For drops as well, the amount and frequency of intake for children should be determined individually based on tolerance and need, in consultation with a healthcare professional.
We work with the independent laboratory AgroLab, which we commission to perform microbiological and heavy metal tests.
In our microbiological testing, we measure the aerobic mesophilic plate count (total plate count), as well as the levels of Escherichia coli (E. coli), yeasts, Salmonella, molds, and staphylococci.
For heavy metals, we test for arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury in accordance with the limit values specified in Regulation (EU) 2023/915.
The optimal duration of use depends on the specific nutrient, your initial situation, diet, and individual requirements.
There is therefore no one-size-fits-all recommendation for how long a product should be taken. For products intended to support nutrient intake over a longer period, use over several weeks to months may be appropriate. In many cases, a period of around three months may be suitable before nutrient status and further requirements are reassessed.
In the case of diagnosed deficiencies, medical conditions, or the use of medication, the use of supplements should be individually discussed with a doctor or qualified healthcare professional.
The optimal time to take a supplement depends on the specific nutrient, individual tolerance, and the composition of the product. However, some ingredients can be particularly well suited to certain times of day or meals.
In the morning
Stimulating ingredients are often preferably taken in the morning or during the first half of the day. These include, for example:
- Coenzyme Q10
- Green tea extract
- Certain B vitamins
Especially for sensitive individuals, it may be advisable to avoid taking stimulating ingredients immediately before bedtime.
Throughout the day
For some nutrients, it may be beneficial to divide the daily amount into several doses.
Water-soluble vitamins such as B vitamins and vitamin C can be taken throughout the day.
Magnesium can also be divided into several doses rather than taking the entire daily amount at once. This may improve tolerance, particularly with higher amounts.
In the evening
Depending on the type of magnesium compound, taking it in the evening may be beneficial. Magnesium glycinate, for example, is often preferably taken in the evening.
In general, however, the best time to take a product also depends on when it is individually best tolerated and can be reliably incorporated into your daily routine.
With a meal
Some nutrients benefit from being taken together with a meal.
Fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K can be taken together and ideally with a meal containing some fat.
Omega-3 fatty acids should also be taken regularly with a meal. Omega-3 oils can be combined well with fat-soluble vitamins.
Many plant-based ingredients can also be taken as part of a meal or together with omega-3 products. However, the optimal timing depends on the specific plant compound and product formulation.
Zinc can cause nausea or stomach discomfort on an empty stomach in some people. If you have a sensitive stomach, it is therefore advisable to take zinc with a meal.
Between meals
Iron is often taken separately from meals, as various foods and beverages can affect its absorption. It is particularly advisable to leave a gap between iron and:
- Coffee and tea
- Caffeinated beverages
- Milk and dairy products
- Calcium- or mineral-rich supplements
However, if you have a sensitive stomach, iron can also be taken with a meal. In this case, individual tolerance is more important than a theoretically optimal intake situation.
Enzyme supplements vary depending on their intended use: digestive enzymes are generally taken with meals. Products that are specifically intended to be taken between meals may, for example, be taken around 30 minutes before a meal. The product's specific recommended intake should always be followed.
Around exercise
Proteins and amino acids can be taken both before and after training.
If you exercise on an empty stomach, taking them around 30 minutes before training may be beneficial. If you have already eaten a protein-rich meal, you can also plan your protein intake for after training.
In general, ensuring sufficient protein intake throughout the entire day is more important than adhering to a narrow time window around your workout.
