Every day, the body processes a wide range of substances from diet, the environment and its own metabolism. Complex metabolic and protective processes are continuously taking place, involving numerous nutrients. How efficiently these processes run depends on many factors, including individual genetic predispositions as well as diet and lifestyle. Epigenetics explores this interaction and provides valuable insights for individually tailored nutrition.
What characterises the formulation?
At the centre of the formulation are N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC), L-methionine, L-lysine, L-glutamine, glycine, taurine, L-carnitine, glutathione and methylsulphonylmethane (MSM) as an organic sulphur compound. The formulation is complemented by coenzyme Q10, selected trace elements and vitamins.
L-lysine and L-methionine are essential amino acids and must be obtained through the diet. Taurine is an amino sulphonic acid that occurs naturally in the body, while N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a stabilised form of the amino acid cysteine. The combination of these carefully selected ingredients forms the basis of the scientifically developed formulation of yourEPI Di-II-tox Modulator.
What role do the antioxidant micronutrients play?
The formulation contains vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and manganese. Vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and manganese contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. In addition, vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
The formulation is complemented by quercetin from Japanese pagoda tree extract and coenzyme Q10. Quercetin belongs to the group of flavonoids and occurs naturally in many types of fruit and vegetables.
What makes the yourEPI line special?
People differ not only in their genetic predispositions, but also in their diet, lifestyle and the influences of their environment. Epigenetics explores how these factors can influence the activity of genes without changing the DNA sequence itself. It helps to provide a better understanding of the interaction between genetic predisposition and external influences.
On this scientific basis, the yourEPI line by NatuGena was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr rer. nat. Brigitte König and Prof. Dr rer. nat. Michaela Döll. It draws on insights from epigenetics, biochemistry and nutritional science and translates them into a thematically structured product line.
It comprises the four areas of nutrition, lifestyle, hormones and athletics. This classification makes it easier to navigate within the yourEPI product line. The products combine micronutrients with additional ingredients in formulations adapted to their respective thematic focus.
