Pregnancy and breastfeeding are special stages of life during which the requirements for certain vitamins and minerals also change. NatuGena MamaBox Veggie Capsules therefore combines three different formulations for targeted daily nutrient supplementation: a comprehensive micronutrient complex, plant-based vitamin D3, and DHA and EPA from microalgae.

Which nutrients are the focus of MamaFit?

MamaFit was specially formulated for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Folate supports maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and plays a role in cell division. Iron supports normal red blood cell formation and oxygen transport, while iodine supports normal thyroid hormone production and thyroid function.
The formulation is complemented by magnesium, choline and selected B vitamins. Vitamins B6 and B12 help reduce tiredness and fatigue, while vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 support normal energy metabolism. Liposomal Vitamin D3 1000 Vegan provides 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 from lichen per drop. The vitamin is provided in a liquid oil-in-water emulsion with MCT coconut oil and phospholipids from soya lecithin. One bottle contains approximately 1,000 drops.

What role does DHA play during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

The vegan omega-3 capsules provide DHA and EPA from the microalga Schizochytrium sp. and are completely free from fish oil. Maternal intake of DHA supports normal brain and eye development in the foetus and breastfed infant.* With 90 capsules per pack, one pack provides a 90-day supply when taking one capsule per day.
