How does lactoferrin work in the body?

Lactoferrin is an iron-binding whey protein that protects iron from unwanted reactions before it is further processed by the body. Also known as lactotransferrin, it occurs naturally in milk and body fluids such as saliva, tears, and especially breast milk. Why are the added nutrients important?

Consumption recommendation

1 capsule once daily. For best results, take at least 30–60 minutes before breakfast on an empty stomach with 250 ml of still, lukewarm water or, alternatively, with the juice of half a freshly squeezed lemon.
