CelluActive combines SOD superoxide dismutase and selected plant extracts from guarana, pine bark, and nettle leaf.
What is SOD?
Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is a vital enzyme found in nearly all cells of the human body.
For our product CelluActive, we use the branded ingredient Extramel® – a 100% natural extract from a special variety of organic cantaloupe melons cultivated in southern France. This high-purity extract is characterised by its particularly high content of natural SOD. The plant extract is produced using only physical processes such as crushing and filtration – entirely without chemical additives or solvents. With guaranteed SOD enzyme activity of at least 50 IU/g, CelluActive provides approximately 200 IU of SOD per recommended daily dose.

SOD can be formed in the body in two different ways: either with manganese or with copper and zinc. If these minerals are not sufficiently available, the body may not be able to produce enough SOD.
How do zinc, copper and vitamin C support skin health?
CelluActive therefore also contains the minerals copper and zinc. Together with vitamin C from acerola cherry, these minerals help protect cells from oxidative stress. Manganese and copper contribute to the formation of connective tissue. Copper also supports the maintenance of normal connective tissue.
Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. The vitamin C in acerola cherry is highly bioavailable, as it is naturally bound to bioflavonoids. Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin.

What are the natural benefits of guarana, pine bark extract and nettle?
Guarana, named after the indigenous Guaraní people, is a climbing plant native to the rainforests of South America. Its ripe capsule fruit turns red-orange and contains seeds that are peeled, dried, and ground into a fine powder. This powder is rich in natural caffeine and also contains guanine, choline, and tannins.
Pine bark extract is rich in OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins), also referred to as vitamin P. These plant-based nutrients, which the body cannot produce on its own, belong to the group of polyphenols and flavonols, both important antioxidants. Pine bark extract is also rich in valuable polyphenols, catechins, and taxifolin.
Nettle is a herbaceous plant of the nettle family and is widespread across the globe. Depending on species and location, the plant can grow from 10 cm up to 3 metres tall. It is rich in minerals such as silicon (silica) and provides numerous bioactive compounds including flavonoids, gallic acid, tannins, formic acid, and carotenoids. Additionally, nettle is naturally high in protein.
