Which plant compounds are included?

At the centre of the formulation are 500 mg quercetin per daily dose. Quercetin belongs to the flavonoids and occurs naturally in various plant-based foods such as apples and onions. For HistaMast Active, it is obtained from the flower buds of the Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica). Quercetin is complemented by black seed extract (Nigella sativa) and perilla extract. Perilla naturally provides rosmarinic acid and further polyphenols. Bromelain is also included, an enzyme mixture obtained, among other sources, from the pineapple plant.

What role does vitamin C play?

The plant-based ingredients are complemented by 500 mg buffered vitamin C per daily dose. Magnesium ascorbate, a buffered form of vitamin C, is used.

Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and nervous system, as well as to normal energy-yielding metabolism. In addition, vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
