Cholin-3-Komplex

NatuGena's Choline-3 Complex contains the bioactive forms choline dihydrogen citrate, L-choline bitartrate and alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine (GPC).
 
Choline can be produced by the body itself in small quantities, but intake through food is essential. Thus, choline belongs to the semi-essential nutrients and was long counted among the B vitamins (vitamin B4).
 
Choline is converted by the body's own metabolic processes into membrane components (phosphatidylcholine), lipids and the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine, which is first formed in the body from choline, is one of the most important and longest known neurotransmitters. Among other things, it directs muscle contraction and exerts an influence on blood pressure, attention and digestion.
 
As a lipotropic factor, choline contributes to normal lipid, liver and homocysteine metabolism. Choline plays a role in the transport of fatty acids (trigycerides) from the liver to regions of the body where it is needed. 
 
Choline is found in animal foods such as meat, poultry, fish, dairy products and eggs, as well as in plant foods such as broccoli, collard greens, beans, nuts, seeds and whole grains.
NatuGena's product includes choline bitartrate. This form of choline is absorbed by the body seven times better than the phosphaditylcholine used in most food supplements. The latter can also cause gastrointestinal problems. Choline bitartrate is therefore a mild and well-tolerated alternative.
