The vaginal microflora consists of a variety of microorganisms that, when balanced, help protect the mucous membranes. A stable microbial composition forms a natural barrier against undesirable influences. Targeted intake of specific lactic acid bacteria can support the natural microbiome.
Which bacteria are included, and why does it matter?
FeminaVaginalis contains ten carefully selected strains that naturally occur in the vaginal flora. The capsules provide 10 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per daily serving. They are taken in capsule form, so the bacteria remain protected until they reach the intestine or other relevant mucosal areas.

Why are oregano and grapefruit seed interesting plant extracts?
The formula is complemented with plant extracts from grapefruit seeds and oregano.
Oregano extract is obtained from the leaves of Origanum vulgare and has been valued since ancient times far beyond its culinary use. Its small oval leaves and delicate flowers contain essential oils as well as secondary plant compound groups such as polyphenols and flavonoids.
Grapefruit seed extract is derived from the seeds and membranes of the grapefruit. These plant parts are known for containing a broad spectrum of bioflavonoids.
What role do L-glutamine, vitamins and zinc play in FeminaVaginalis?
L-glutamine is an amino acid that plays a role in various cellular functions and serves as a building block for tissues. The formula is further complemented with vitamin C, zinc, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and biotin (vitamin B7), selected specifically to support skin and mucous membrane structures. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. Riboflavin and biotin contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
