- Produced in Germany: Exceptional purity and bioavailability for optimal nutrient uptake
Every person has individual genetic predispositions. At the same time, diet, lifestyle and other environmental factors influence numerous metabolic processes in the body. Epigenetics examines the interaction between these factors and provides valuable insights for individually tailored nutrition.
What characterises the formulation?
yourEPI Methyl Modulator combines betaine (trimethylglycine), L-methionine and phosphatidylcholine from the branded ingredient LeciFis® EXP IPM with bioactive B vitamins, vitamin C and selected plant extracts. L-methionine is an essential amino acid and must be obtained through the diet. Betaine occurs naturally in beetroot, spinach and wholegrain products, among other foods. Betaine contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.* Phosphatidylcholine is a natural component of lecithin and complements the scientifically developed formulation.
What role do the bioactive B vitamins play?
Folate, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism. Folate contributes to normal amino acid synthesis. Niacin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the normal function of the nervous system. Folate and vitamin B12 also have a role in the process of cell division.
Why do camu camu and green tea complement the formulation?
The formulation is complemented by camu camu extract with vitamin C and green tea extract with 330 mg EGCG per daily dose. Camu camu is a fruit from the Amazon region and is characterised by its naturally high vitamin C content. The green tea extract provides natural polyphenols, including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the normal function of the nervous system. In addition, vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
What makes the yourEPI line special?
People differ not only in their genetic predispositions, but also in their diet, lifestyle and the influences of their environment. Epigenetics explores how these factors can influence the activity of genes without changing the DNA sequence itself. It helps to provide a better understanding of the interaction between genetic predisposition and external influences.
On this scientific basis, the yourEPI line by NatuGena was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr rer. nat. Brigitte König and Prof. Dr rer. nat. Michaela Döll. It draws on insights from epigenetics, biochemistry and nutritional science and translates them into a thematically structured product line.
It comprises the four areas of nutrition, lifestyle, hormones and athletics. This classification makes it easier to navigate within the yourEPI product line. The products combine micronutrients with additional ingredients in formulations adapted to their respective thematic focus.
* The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 1.5 g of betaine. A daily intake of more than 4 g of betaine may significantly increase blood cholesterol levels.
