What is glutathione and why is it important?
Glutathione is an endogenous, water-soluble tripeptide composed of glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is found in every cell of the body, with particularly high concentrations in the liver, where it plays a vital role in metabolic and detoxification processes. While the body can synthesise glutathione itself, factors such as stress, environmental toxins, and ageing can impair production. Glutathione is also present in foods, especially in plant-based sources. Asparagus, for instance, contains approximately 28 mg per 100 g, while avocados provide around 27.7 mg per 100 g.
Why are MSM and R-alpha-lipoic acid part of the formula?
This formula includes MSM, an organic sulphur compound, and R-alpha-lipoic acid, the naturally bioactive form of alpha-lipoic acid. Both are functionally important and support the formula's effectiveness. They play a role in central metabolic processes and act synergistically with antioxidant nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin E, and glutathione.

How do vitamins and minerals support cellular protection?
Zinc, selenium, manganese, vitamin C and vitamin E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also helps regenerate the reduced form of vitamin E. In addition, magnesium and zinc contribute to normal cell division, while vitamin C and magnesium help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
How do bioactive vitamins complement the formula?
All B vitamins are present in their active forms, which the body can utilise directly without conversion. These bioactive vitamins contribute in various ways: vitamins B1, B2, B6, and B12 support normal energy metabolism; B9 and B12 play a role in cell division; and B6, B9 and B12 contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
