Carotenoids are natural plant pigments with powerful antioxidant properties that are found primarily in colorful fruits and vegetables. Some, such as beta-carotene, can be converted into vitamin A in the body. In addition, they protect cells from oxidative stress, support skin health, and help maintain vision.
