A varied diet, regular physical activity or changing daily routines place different demands on the body. BactoGena Liquid Plus combines fermented microorganisms with selected organic herbs in a liquid, easy-to-dose formulation.

Which microorganisms are included?

Each serving of BactoGena Liquid Plus contains a diverse combination of 33 different bacterial strains. These belong primarily to the genera Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Lactococcus and Streptococcus, all of which are well known from fermented foods. The spectrum is complemented by Bacillus subtilis, which was named Microbe of the Year 2023.

Which herbs are part of the BactoGena Liquid Plus formulation?

The probiotic cultures are complemented by a carefully selected blend of organic herbs. In total, more than 20 carefully chosen organic herbs and plant components are included. These feature traditional plants such as angelica root, anise, basil, fennel, rosemary, sage and thyme, as well as many others. Supporting leaves and seeds such as raspberry leaves, olive leaves and black cumin seeds are also included. All ingredients come from certified organic cultivation and contribute not only a characteristic flavour, but also a long tradition of use in plant-based nutrition.

Why is molasses used, and is the product still sugar-free?
The organic molasses used during fermentation serves as a natural energy source for the microorganisms. During the production process, the bacteria convert this sugar base into other metabolic products. As a result, so little sugar remains that the finished product may be labelled as “sugar-free” under the legal definition (less than 0.5 g sugar per 100 g). At the same time, a minimal amount of alcohol is produced (below 0.5 % vol.), which also falls within the legal threshold for “alcohol-free”.

colony-forming units. As this is a naturally fermented, unsterilised product containing live, active microorganisms, the bacterial count may vary. As we deliberately avoid using additives, there may be slight differences in colour, taste and smell, and a slight excess of pressure may occur. This does not affect the quality of the product.
