Vitamin D 1000 Vegan has a high vitamin D3 content (1000 IU) for a strong immune system. It also contains the fat-soluble vitamins K2 (MK-7, all-trans) and vitamin A, as well as high-quality pure vegetable MCT coconut oil as a carrier molecule to increase the absorption of the vitamins.

Vitamin D occurs naturally in plants as vitamin D2 and in animal form (fish/sheep fat) as vitamin D3. However, vitamin D3 is better absorbed by the body than vitamin D2 and is converted into the active hormone. Lichens, which belong to the group of fungi, also contain vitamin D3. The chemical structure is no different from vitamin D3 of animal origin, which is why it can be a vegan alternative.

The high content of vitamin D3 normalises calcium/phosphate homeostasis in the blood to protect both muscle function and bone and tooth structure. The combination of fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin D, strengthens the immune system and promotes cell division (vitamin A) as well as the protection of cells against oxidative stress.

The contained vitamin A also has a positive effect on the health of the skin and mucous membranes and contributes to the maintenance of vision.
