Hericium Erinaceus - also known as Lion's Mane, Hedgehog's Goatee or Monkey's Head Mushroom - is a vital mushroom and, thanks to its fine aromas, is considered a special delicacy among edible mushrooms in Asia.  For thousands of years, the Hericium (Hericium erinaceus)has found its use in traditional Chinese herbalism.

In addition to its high mineral content, it also contains an above-average number of essential amino acids that are relevant for humans. The ingredients include statins (e.g. lovastatin), mucus formers and proteins (e.g. ergothioneine). 

The vital mushroom finds numerous applications due to its ingredients. In the product HericiumAktiv it is combined with the widely appreciated frankincense.

Hericium Erinaceus is found worldwide in forest areas with high humidity. It is mostly found on deciduous trees such as oaks and beeches.
