CarniPure® is a high quality branded raw material of the substance L-Carnitine Tartrate. It is purely vegan carnitine. This bioactive, nature-identical L-carnitine is bound to the salt of tartaric acid.
L-carnitine is a natural nutrient in the body's energy metabolism, it transports fatty acids into the power plants of the cell so that energy can be obtained from fatty acids. Put another way, carnitine is essential for the transport of long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane.
Carnitine occurs naturally in our bodies, totalling 20-35g. Organs and cells with high energy requirements, such as the heart, muscles, immune cells, nerves, brain and sperm, in particular contain the highest concentration of L-carnitine. It is a form of betaine and therefore very soluble in water.
Since it is responsible for energy production from fat, it can promote athletic endurance and recovery after exercise.
Our body can produce small amounts of L-carnitine itself, as long as the precursors (two essential amino acids lysine and methionine) and the cofactors (vitamins C, B3, B6 and iron) are always available.
