Nasturtium is a plant species from the nasturtium family (Tropaeolaceae) and originates from South and Central America. The indigenous peoples of South America have been using nasturtiums for centuries because of their valuable properties.
Nasturtiums are especially known for their beautiful and brightly coloured flowers and their spicy-hot aroma. Thus, it also finds many uses in the kitchen.
Nasturtium contains a variety of herbal ingredients, including mustard oils, which give it its characteristic flavour. In addition, nasturtium is rich in vitamin C, minerals, carotenoids and flavonoids.
Horseradish, also known as Armoracia rusticana, belongs to the cruciferous family (Brassicaceae) and is a native plant in Europe. Horseradish is characterised by its intense pungent and spicy flavour and is therefore also a popular ingredient in cooking (the root of the horseradish is mainly used as a spice).
The important components of horseradish are found in the root in particular, namely: Glucosinolates (mustard oil glycosides), flavonoids, vitamin C, B vitamins and minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron.
By crushing or grating the root, the glucosinolates are converted by an enzyme into mustard oils, which are only then released and give the horseradish its characteristic flavour.
Another ingredient in AnginKa is rosehip. The rosehip, also known as the fruit of the roses, is formed from the pseudo-fruits of the dog rose (Rosa canina), among others. In spring, the rosehip bush adorns itself with beautiful white or pink flowers, and in late summer and into autumn these ripen into red fruits.
Rosehips are characterised by a fruity, sour taste. The rosehip fruits are rich in valuable nutrients. Particularly noteworthy is their high content of vitamin C. Vitamin C has numerous important functions in the body; among other things, it contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
The capsules are 100% vegan, lactose-, gluten-, sugar- and fructose-free.
